Wedding Reception Tips
- We put together some wedding
reception tips to make planning your reception a little easier
- When comparing the cost of
different locations, don't forget to add in the cost of rental equipment,
such as tables, chairs, glasses, plates, silver and serving dishes, if you
are considering a location that doesn't provide these items.
-
Private country clubs,
restaurants or
hotels which provide complete service and facilities many times can be less
expensive, and relieve you of the burdens of coordinating the wedding
reception.
- Make sure you see the
room or location in person where the reception will take place.
- Have the room name, or
description, written on your contract to avoid any confusion later.
- Disadvantages with private
clubs, restaurants or hotels are that you must conform to their time
schedule, and many times, to pre-established menus which allow little or no
flexibility.
- Private homes or gardens can
offer more flexibility with regard to personal desires and time schedules.
However, the burden of coordinating is on you, and may require the
assistance of a wedding coordinator.
- Interview a few caterers and
reception location managers; compare the cost and what each will provide
before making your final decision.
Destination Wedding Reception
Tips and Ideas
The ever-popular destination wedding,
affectionately called the "wedding-moon", combines both the wedding, reception
and honeymoon together in one location.
With all the challenges in
planning your "perfect" wedding and the price tag that comes with it,
more couples are choosing to reduce the hassle and focus on something truly unique.
The destination wedding is
generally held at a desirable location that allows the wedding guests to
vacation and spend more quality time with the wedding couple.
The destination wedding is typically
for less than 40 people and involves a few days of
activities for all the guests. The destination wedding is the central location
that the bride and groom
chooses as their "headquarters". Activities are then planned for their guests
from this location.
These destination weddings can be
an exotic destination or the hometown in which you grew up.
When planning a destination wedding be sure to have an itinerary for your
guests, so they will have an idea about
what to expect.
Whether you choose an exotic
destination or the hometown in which you grew up, there are many choices to put you in touch with the honeymoon and/or
destination wedding location of your dreams.
Imagine having your wedding in romantic destinations like Fiji, Hawaii, Mexico,
the Caribbean, Australia, Costa Rica or even Canada. To find your destination
